This second set of Emotions & Expressions ColorCards, by Sioban Boyce, is a step up in complexity for children aged 5 and over who can talk but do not yet read non-verbal cues well enough to hold a good conversation. Its 44 A5 cards show emotions such as interest, worry, boredom, confusion, kindness and anger, each at 4 different ages. Working with them helps children read faces and body language, work out what others may be thinking or feeling, say something relevant to the situation, sharpen their powers of observation and see things from another person's point of view. A manual is included.
