The Emotional or Behavior Disorder Scale–Revised (EBDS-R) supports the early identification of, and services for, students aged 5 to 18 with emotional or behavioural disorders. Built on a national coalition's definition of emotional or behavioural disorder and on the federal definition under IDEA, its Behavioral Component rates personal adjustment, social relationships and academic progress, and its Vocational Component looks at work-related skills, relations with others and social expectations. Schools and institutions use it as the basis for identification, and the kit includes the technical manual, 25 rating forms and an intervention manual.
