Early Childhood Parenting Skills(ECPS)
Early Childhood Parenting Skills (ECPS), by Richard R. Abidin, is a modular training programme that teaches parents the core skills of good parenting: building a positive relationship, communicating, setting discipline and structure, and handling emotions. At its heart are 19 scripted sessions, with notes for the professional, drawn from self-concept, relationships, behavioural principles and cognitive psychology, and sessions can be chosen freely to fit a group's needs. There are also five single-session lectures or workshops and an annotated bibliography. The kit includes the programme manual and 2 workbooks.
