Dyslexia Screening Test - Secondary (DST-S)
The Dyslexia Screening Test, Secondary (DST-S), by Rod Nicolson and Angela Fawcett, identifies students aged about 11½ to 16½ who still have literacy difficulties at secondary school, and its profile of strengths and weaknesses guides support in school. The results can also back a request for extra time in examinations. Its subtests include rapid naming, one-minute reading, two-minute spelling, phonemic segmentation, nonsense passage reading, verbal and semantic fluency, and new tasks of spoonerisms and non-verbal reasoning; it takes about 30 minutes individually, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, subtest cards and score keys, testing materials, a CD, scoring software and 50 score sheets in a carry case.
