Dyslexia Adult Screening Test (DAST)
The Dyslexia Adult Screening Test (DAST) by Rod Nicolson and Angela Fawcett screens people aged 16½ and over for signs of dyslexia through 11 subtests of reading, spelling, memory and sound skills, such as rapid naming, verbal fluency, backwards digit span, one-minute reading, two-minute spelling and nonsense passage reading. It shows where the person is strong and where weak, and guides the planning of further support. It is given individually in about 30 minutes, and the kit contains the DAST with 50 record forms and the test cards.
