Diagnostic Test of Reading Disorder (DTRD)
The Diagnostic Test of Reading Disorder (DTRD), by Smriti Swarup and Dharmishta H. Mehta, identifies the perceptual and cognitive processing weaknesses that lie behind problems with the fluency and accuracy of reading in children aged 8 to 11. Each child takes both Level I and Level II, individually and without a time limit, though testing usually takes 45 to 50 minutes. It was standardised on 1,100 schoolchildren, and the kit includes a manual, 25 reusable booklets, 100 child sheets and 100 teacher recording sheets.
