Diagnostic Test of Learning Disability (DTLD)
The Diagnostic Test of Learning Disability (DTLD), by Smriti Swarup and Dharmishta H. Mehta, diagnoses learning disability in children aged 8 to 11 through 10 subtests, since a weakness in any one of these areas, alone or with others, can lead to learning problems. The areas range from perception, including spatial relations, position in space, figure-ground and figure constancy, eye-hand co-ordination and auditory perception, to memory, cognitive abilities and receptive and expressive language. It is given individually in 40 to 50 minutes, was standardised on 1,050 children, and the kit contains a manual and 50 consumable booklets.
