Developmental Assessment of Young Children–Second Edition - (DAYC-2)
The DAYC-2 helps identify children from birth to 5 years who may be delayed in communication, cognition, physical or social-emotional development, or adaptive behaviour. Each of these five domains can be tested on its own, or all of them together when a picture of general development is wanted, and information can come from observation, from interviewing caregivers and from direct assessment. Because each discipline can use it independently, it also suits arena assessment. Testing takes 10 to 20 minutes, and the kit contains the manual, 25 scoring forms for each domain, examiner summary sheets and a pack of development charts.
