CREVT-3 Comprehensive Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test–Third Edition
The Comprehensive Receptive and Expressive Vocabulary Test, Third Edition (CREVT-3), by Gerald Wallace and Donald D. Hammill, measures both the spoken words a person understands and those they can use, from age 5 to 89. It helps identify people who lag well behind their peers, shows gaps between understanding and use, tracks progress after intervention and serves research, and its two subtests combine into a General Vocabulary Index. It has two equivalent forms, norms from 1,535 people in the United States gathered in 2011, updated photographs and a pronunciation guide. It is given individually in 20 to 30 minutes, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, the photo album picture book and 25 record booklets for each form, in a storage box.
