Elizabeth Carrow-Woolfolk's Comprehensive Assessment of Spoken Language, Second Edition (CASL-2), measures the oral language of children and young adults aged 3 to 21 through 14 tests that can be used alone or as one battery. They cover four areas: knowledge and use of words, grammar, language whose meaning goes beyond the literal words, such as inference and figurative speech, and pragmatic language suited to different social situations. It is given individually in 30 to 45 minutes, and the kit contains the manual, easels 1 to 3 and 10 record forms, with access to online scoring and reporting after registration.
