The CASE-SF is the short form of the Clinical Assessment Scales for the Elderly, a quick screen that helps decide whether an adult aged 55 to 90 needs a fuller evaluation for psychological disorder or a referral elsewhere, for instance to a neuropsychologist. It keeps all 10 clinical scales of the full CASE, along with its Lie and Validity scales, and has both a self-rating booklet and one for a caregiver such as a spouse, grown child, sibling or home health worker. It takes 10 to 20 minutes, and the kit includes the manual, 25 booklets of each form and 50 profile forms.
