Child Sexual Behaviour Inventory (CSBI)
The Child Sexual Behaviour Inventory (CSBI), by William N. Friedrich, is a parent-report measure for professionals assessing children aged 2 to 12 where sexual abuse has occurred or is suspected. The mother or main female caregiver indicates how often she has seen each of 38 behaviours over the past six months, spanning several content areas, and the wording needs only a 5th-grade reading level. Because a child's safety is at stake, it is meant to be used alongside other clinical measures and procedures rather than on its own. It takes 10 to 13 minutes, and the kit contains the professional manual and 50 carbonless, hand-scored test booklets.
