The Career Interests, Preferences, and Strengths Inventory (CIPSI), by Gary M. Clark, offers informal career exploration for students from about 5th grade through high school. Through four short surveys with simple wording, students record their interests, strengths, preferences and favoured careers, and the results are matched to the 16 career clusters of the US Department of Education, first one by one and then in combination. Each student receives a personalised report linking the results to career descriptions, group reports are available, and the manual includes reproducible lessons for exploring and planning careers.
