Career Decision Scale (CDS)
The Career Decision Scale (CDS), by Samuel H. Osipow, estimates how undecided a student is about a career, what lies behind that indecision, and whether an intervention has helped. Students rate 19 statements on a scale of 1 to 4 for how closely each matches their own thinking about study and work: items 1 and 2 form the Certainty scale, items 3 to 18 the Indecision scale, and item 19 is an open question for adding detail. Norms cover high school and college students, it takes 10 to 15 minutes, and the kit includes the manual and 50 test booklets.
