Brief Test of Attention™ (BTA™)

David Schretlen's Brief Test of Attention (BTA) is a listening task that measures divided attention through language, giving a quick bedside check for attention problems in hearing adults aged 17 to 82 who do not have aphasia. Because it needs no visual scanning or hand skill, it also suits people with visual or motor impairments. A recorded voice reads ten lists that mix letters and numbers, and the person counts only the numbers on one form and only the letters on the other, giving a score from 0 to 20. It takes 10 minutes or less, and the kit contains the professional manual, a stimulus audio CD and 50 scoring forms.
