Brainwave–R: Cognitive Strategies and Techniques for Brain Injury Rehabilitation
Brainwave-R, by Kit B. Malia, Kristin C. Bewick, Michael J. Raymond and Thomas L. Bennett, is a pen-and-paper programme of cognitive rehabilitation after brain injury. It is organised in five graded modules, attention, visual processing, information processing, memory and executive functions, each with education, instructions for the therapist and exercises for the client, 223 exercises in all. Every exercise also builds the client's awareness of their difficulties and their ability to monitor and judge their own performance, and the kit contains the user's guide with an introduction to brain injury and therapist and client workbooks for the modules.
