Boston Qualitative Scoring System™ for the Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure
The Boston Qualitative Scoring System (BQSS), by Robert A. Stern and colleagues including Edith Kaplan, gives a reliable, quantified way to rate the qualitative features of a person's drawings of the Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure, for ages 18 to 94. Scoring looks at the figure's configural elements, clusters and details across the delayed recall, immediate recall and copy conditions, giving 17 qualitative scores and six summary scores. It takes about 45 minutes, and the kit contains the professional manual, 50 scoring booklets, 50 response sheets, the stimulus card, a reference guide, scoring templates and a metric ruler.
