Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function®, Second Edition (BRIEF®2)
The BRIEF2 is a rating scale of executive function for children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, with forms for parents and teachers and a self-report form for ages 11 to 18. The forms share most of their items and are covered in a single manual, and information on how often raters disagree makes it easy to compare different views of the same child. Shorter scales ease the load on respondents, and new 12-item screening forms show quickly whether a fuller executive function assessment is needed. A full rating takes about 10 minutes and the screener 5, and the kit includes the manual with 25 of each form and its scoring summary.
