The Behavior Disorders Identification Scale–Second Edition: Renormed (BDIS-2:R) picks up both the obvious signs of behaviour disorders and quieter warning signs such as withdrawal, depression and suicidal tendencies in students aged 5 to 18. Its subscales cover learning problems, relationships with others, inappropriate behaviour, unhappiness or depression, and physical symptoms or fears, all based on what teachers and parents observe directly. School and Home Versions together give a full profile of a student's behaviour problems, and a rating takes about 35 minutes. The kit includes the technical manuals and rating forms for both versions, pre-referral checklists and intervention documentation forms.
