Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R)
The Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R) is a detailed interview for assessing people suspected of autism or another autism spectrum disorder, used in formal diagnosis as well as in planning treatment and education. A trained clinician puts its 93 items to a parent or carer who knows the person's developmental history and present behaviour, covering language and communication, reciprocal social interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviours and interests. It suits children and adults with a mental age above 2 years and takes about 1½ to 2½ hours.
