Six things are sold here, and they are not sold the same way.
Which routes end in a checkout, which end in a quotation, and why.
Six different things are sold on this site and they do not behave alike. A book arrives in the post. An assessment arrives in an account. A workshop happens on a day that has to suit both sides. Pretending they are all "add to basket" is how a buyer ends up with something they cannot use, so each one is set out below as it actually works.
01
Physical products — tests, equipment, biofeedback, books
How it is soldDirect purchase
Why that wayA defined item at a stated price. The unit is one kit or one title, and a cart and checkout already exist for it.

02
Assessments taken on DigiAssess
How it is soldDirect purchase
Why that wayAn individual buyer expects a price and a link, not a quotation. The unit is one administration of one instrument.

Counselling and guidance sessions
How it is soldBooking
Why that wayPaid at the time of booking. A held slot that is not paid for is a slot lost, and payment at booking is what makes a cancellation window mean anything.

School, university and organisation programmes
How it is soldEnquiry, then quote
Why that wayScope, number of students, duration and travel all vary. No published figure would survive contact with a real school.

Professional certification and training
How it is soldEnquiry for now
Why that wayA cohort with dates and a seat limit can be sold directly, and should be. Until that calendar exists, an enquiry is honest and a checkout is not.
