Actuaries use statistical and mathematical expertise to evaluate risk across insurance, finance and pension sectors, so that organisations can make informed decisions about financial security and risk management. Specialisations cover health insurance, life insurance, property and casualty, pension and retirement benefits, and enterprise risk management. Educational routes include Fellowship from the Actuarial Society of India or the Institute of Actuaries, London; a B.Sc. in Insurance or Statistics; an M.B.A. in Actuarial Science; or a Diploma in Actuarial Science.
